So I woke up this morning and nothing had changed. I was sleeping in the same bed, under the same government, and with the same electoral system. Not that changing the government, would ultimately change anything, but alas a little variety would be good. The referendum failed as well, though numbers everywhere conflict. We waste far too much time in trying to make elections the ultimate democratic experience and not enough time understanding what the hell democracy really is.

Well, here we are, at the beginning of another 4 years of the same. Not that a change would have brought that much difference in the end.

So I go back to the things that do make a difference; patio gardening, hugs and Russian mixed drinks.
